SAFETY & QUALITY
THE POLICY,AND THE RECORD
Zero reportable incidents and zero vehicle accidents, five consecutive years. Across drilling, confined-space entry and aerial work.
The figures are SKATEL's own, as reported in the Business Portfolio (2025). What produced them is a comprehensive internal safety program, and what that program requires is set out below: assessments completed before work starts, the equipment carried in every vehicle, and confined-space certification held by the crew that does the entering.
“No job is so important and no service so urgent that we cannot take time to perform our work safely.”
SKATEL safety policy
ZERO
Reportable incidents
Five consecutive years, across drilling, confined-space entry and aerial work.
ZERO
Vehicle accidents
Over the same five years, across a fleet of around thirty vehicles and equipment units.
6
Confined-space certified
Every technician on the rod and rope crew, trained for entry and equipped for it.
HOW SAFETYIS RUN
A comprehensive internal safety program, carried out before the work starts. Assessments, equipment and certification are conditions of the job rather than paperwork filed after it.

ASSESSED BEFORE WORK STARTS
Technicians complete mandatory safety assessments for the vehicle and for the job site itself, and both are completed before any work begins.
EQUIPPED IN EVERY VEHICLE
Occupational Health and Safety manuals, the required safety equipment, fire extinguishers and first aid kits travel with the crew, in every company vehicle.
CERTIFIED FOR CONFINED SPACE
Every technician on the six-member rod and rope crew is fully trained in confined-space operations and carries the field support equipment the work needs.
TRACKED IN THE FIELD
Every vehicle carries GPS tracking, for crew safety as much as for operational oversight.
HOW A JOBIS CLOSED
A dedicated QC specialist reviews every completion document before it reaches the client. The package is built while the work happens, so what is submitted is a record rather than a reconstruction.
01
TESTED, NOT ASSUMED
Every splice location is traced and its power budget measured on site, on two OTDR units with OPM and OLT meters.
02
RECORDED AGAINST THE LOCATION
Results are written against the location ID before the crew leaves site, rather than reconciled from notes afterwards.
03
REVIEWED BEFORE SUBMISSION
A dedicated QC specialist checks the completion package for accuracy and completeness before it reaches the client.
04
REPORTED AS IT HAPPENED
What is reported is what happened on site, including when it went wrong.
In every completion package
- As-builts
- Test results
- Site photos
- Ticket closures
Certification and membership
All three marks are the property of their issuers and are shown as issued.
